Stalbridge Cricket Club 3rd XI v Bere Regis 2nd XI on Sat 05 Aug 2017 at 1.30pm
Stalbridge Cricket Club Lost 80 runs

Match report For a while we were in the game - Bere Regis got off to a slow but steady start, with tight opening spells from Juddy and Julius. Sam also opened with a tight spell, then Howard made the breakthrough and sent down his 8 overs for just 20. Teams often target the fifth bowler, and Waz's legendary nagging line and length didn't seem as nagging as it used to be. A few wickets were picked up, and Juddy came back on to snare their big hitter, one of 3 catches behind the stumps for Jordan. All 5 bowlers used contributed at least one wicket, and the fielding was keen as we restricted Bere Regis to 187-8.
Jordan unfortunately fell first ball of the reply, then their opening bowler tried to bounce Waz out. Of course he was up to the challenge, but as soon as the spinners came on it looked like he had never played before, falling eventually for 27. Juddy looked good for 20, especially when he hit long on flush on the head, there were some good 8s from Marcus, Howard and Matt, and a stoic last wicket stand of 18 between Jack and Browner. However we eventually fell for 107.
