Match report Despite the loss, the boys did an excellent job in what was a cold and wet evening up the park. Batting first, the opening partnership of Dan W and Ethan B and a good end to the innings by Henry J and Oliver H helped the team to a respectable total of 233.In reply, Shaftesbury started well but some controlled bowling from Henry M, Ben W, Hal B and Luke E limited the batsman to scoring. However, a lack of wickets and a fair few wides (not helped by the weather conditions!)meant Shaftesbury finished strongly and ran out eventual winners. There were many positives to take out of this game though with another great fielding display and Henry J again captaining the team well. We hope to exact some revenge as we play the other Shaftesbury team up the park next week!
