Match report As the first league game approached, the skies got gloomier and the wind grew stronger, real April cricketing weather. (it felt like winter!!!)
Will won the toss again and let the guests have the honour of batting first. Stalbridge put up another good display of bowling in testing conditions, only conceding 8 wides (16 runs), in restricting Shaftesbury to 50-5 from 16 overs. This included 2 good catches, 2 clean bowled, and 1 run out shared between 4 bowlers. But even the players who didn't take wickets kept the runs low, so an all round team display.
In reply, we made short work of the chase, knocking off the runs in 5.2 overs, with Joe scoring the winning runs with 2 excellent pull shots for boundaries.
Well done again, lets have more of the same!
