Match report The weather has turned again, and it was a chilly and breezy evening. William lost the toss and Marnhull chose to bat. Marcus (2-10) started the first over with 2 no balls and finished it with 2 wickets, was supported really well from the other end by Matt C (1-5), who was typically mean! Max (2-11), playing his first U13 game, had a hat-trick ball which was only just kept out. James (2-7) bowled brilliantly as usual and Sam (2-16), despite going for 14 from his first over, took the last 2 wickets of the innings leaving his next delivery, when ever it might be as a hat-trick ball too! All in all, in tricky conditions, we bowled and fielded as a great team should.
In reply, Luke E was run out on the first ball following a mix up, but then Luke M (31 n.o) and William (21) knocked the runs off 6.4 overs to wrap up a comfortable victory.
This victory should be enough to win the league although we will have to wait for official confirmation!
