Match report A great game in our first match against our friendly local rivals Marnhull!

Stalbridge bowled first and all our bowlers showed good technique, especially as several are new to cricket or have very little experience. Skipper Leon led the way with 3 wickets, Hamish and Logan took 1 each, while the whole team fielded brilliantly, showing great awareness in making 4 run-outs. Marnhull finished on 238-7 (teams start on 200 and lose 6 runs per wicket)

The excellent team effort continued with the batting, with every player scoring runs to contribute to our team total. Charlotte & Logan gave us a good start, before Hamish and Charlie really accelerated the scoring - Hamish hitting 19 runs including the only 6 of the game! Arthur & Fynley then carried on with some lovely shots, hitting several boundaries between them, before Leon (top scorer with 21) and Daniel saw us to victory with a strong final partnership of 30. Stalbridge finished on 293-5 to win the game by 55 runs.
