Stalbridge Cricket Club News story

Free money for SCC from your subs

17 Oct 2016

Dear SCC members,

As many of you will know Localgiving.Com is a not for profit organisation which assists small community groups like our cricket club to raise vital money. They have a 'Grow your Tenner' fund to be distributed between organisations that join and apply. For a short period of time until this is all gone, we are able to attract match funding from the scheme for any 'donations' that the Club is able to secure through Localgiving.com.

With this in mind, rather than asking people for donations, we can attract the free match funding if any members are willing to pay their 2017 membership subscription or first match fees now (as a 'donation'), instead of next spring.

For 2017, subs & match fees will be;

Seniors: £5.00 (Match Fees £10.00 in 1st XI, other teams £8.00).

U18s/ those in full-time ed: £5.00 (Match fees £5.00)

Juniors (u15, u13, u11s) £25.00 (NO match fees).

Juniors (u9s) £20.00  (NO match fees).

Juniors (u7s) £10.00 (NO match fees)

If you would be willing to pay your 2017 subscription or first match now through Localgiving.com they will match every £10 with another £10 completely FREE to the Club from their charity fund!!

All you need to do is go to the following link http://localgiving.com/charity/stalbridgecc or the localgiving.com logo in the top right corner of the SCC Club website.

Then click on the green 'Donate Now' button, change the amount as appropriate (see below) and follow the instructions. You can either pay by credit/debit card or by Paypal (if you have a Paypal account).

If you are happy to take part in this scheme to raise money for the Club, we will count your donations as follows;

Seniors 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, Sunday XI = £10 donation will count as your first match fee for 2017 (those only due to pay £8.00 for their first match will get £2.00 change in the summer!)

U18s/Full time ed = £10 donation will count as your Subscription AND your first match fee

Juniors = your £10 donations will come off your 2017 Subscription, whatever level your Subscription.

As you are paying a subscription/match fee via this method you'll not be entitled to add Gift Aid as well because that extra tax money is not allowed if you are receiving a membership qualification, as you will be when paying for 2017 playing subs. You just need to skip Gift Aid request page once you have set up the other details up on the site. Also, there is a button for donating anonymously - please don't click this as we'll need to see who's paying for subs so we don't ask you for a sub again next spring!

Apologies if it appears rather cheeky asking for 2017 subscriptions this early, but its an opportunity not to be missed to raise some extra funds for the Club. Nonetheless, we do understand if you'd rather just wait and pay your subs/match next spring in the normal way.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thank you very much if you decide to help out in this way!
