Stalbridge Cricket Club

Dear all,

It is with regret that we have to insist that we can not take any new junior Club members at Under-7 and Under-9 level on Sunday mornings this summer. That's school year 4 and below.

It is great that there is such enthusiasm, and we hate having to turn young cricketers away, but we are now struggling to cope with numbers to the extent that it compromises the standard of the coaching sessions that can be held, and in the Under-9s the playing opportunities too.

One of the most effective ways of publicising the Club and attracting new players has been word of mouth, and we'd like to thank everybody who has said good things about the Club to friends and family, etc.

However, given the situation we would ask all existing members to resist from inviting or encouraging any new U7s or U9s to turn up to sessions this year. Of course, when we start again in 2014 all are welcome again at the start and we'll see where we get to.

Sorry to disappoint anybody and thanks for you understanding.
