SCC Junior Award Winners 2014

15 Aug 2014

Stalbridge Cricket Club celebrated the finale of another successful and enjoyable junior cricket season with a barbeque and the presentation of awards to teams and players.

This year the Club fielded a record of four indoor teams in the winter and eight junior teams in the summer season from Under-15s down to a new Under-7s team! With over 100 junior members there were plenty of excellent performances over the season.

A number of teams scooped league honours. The Under-15s and Under-13 Blues won both their indoor and summer North Dorset leagues, while the Blues were also crowned Dorset Under-13 Champions after defeating Parley CC in the County Final. The Under-15s also took the North Dorset Cup Final and the Under-11s won the indoor knockout cup back in the winter.

Many of the Club’s junior players have gone on to play in the Stalbridge senior teams, as well as featuring in District and County squads, and all have benefitted from the time put in by a dedicated team of coaches and parent-helpers.
