Match report It was good to get a game in, and on the positive side the team finished with 7 points - 2 more then we'd have got had the game been cancelled.

The pitch was a typical early season Poole Park one, pretty slow and damp, but otherwise pretty true. The outfield, however, was very damp and long which was difficult for fielders and batters alike.

Ultimately, Poole made more runs than we should have allowed them, due mainly to a patient innings of 76 from their opener and 30 bowling extras. Steve Forshaw was pick of the bowlers, with 2-16 off 10 overs.

After a poor start (56-6), we recovered somewhat to finish on 153 all out. Dikey chipped in with 22, while Reece Wilson made a fine 77 - a score which would have been well over 100 on any kind of decent outfield as opposed to a water meadow with a white line around it!
