Match report What an excellent start to the season! This was a very good performance from a team made up of many inexperienced players, and all the more impressive for being the first match of the season after only one training session.

The team batted with determination, showing good awareness of when to take a run and steadily compiled a score of 240 for only 3 wickets. This was a total that gave us a chance if we bowled and fielded well, and that's just what the boys did.

Henry J did a fine job behind the stumps and as Captain, while the fielding was superb - not a single misfield in the innings! Several players made crucial stops to save runs, particularly Oliver and Henry M, who nearly pulled off an amazing diving catch!

Ben W, Oliver M and Max H all bowled with great control, while Dan W, Will C, Henry M and Ethan B took vital wickets through the innings. Ethan and Henry bowled especially well under pressure at the end, as Marnhull got close to the total, until Henry sealed the victory with a wicket in the last over.

It was a true team effort and all the players contributed to the win. A very impressive first performance!
