Match report A gorgeous evening at The Park was matched with a excellent game of cricket, with both teams playing well.
Stalbridge won the toss and elected to bat. The Blues got off to a slow start, mainly due to tight opening bowling from the visitors and the loss of a wicket in the 3rd over. Then Jasper (32 n.o) and Joe A (30 n.o) got the scoreboard moving rapidly. They both retired in the space of an over but Luke (28) and Will P (22) carried on the quick scoring with Ollie (16 n.o) managing to push the score to 147-4 from 20 overs.
In reply, Bournemouth scored steadily but with some tight bowling in patches and regular taking of wickets restricted the visitors to 107-6 from their 20 overs. Joe A (1-25), Will P (2-15), Lewis (1-13) and in particular Jasper (2-11) including a wicket maiden in the final over of the game capped an impressive display.
