Match report Stalbridge Indoor 'A' continue on in the ECB National indoor competition, beating Ryde CC (IoW) in a low scoring match at the Dorset Cricket Centre. Winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Stalbridge bowlers put in what was to be the foundation of the victory with an excellent bowling performance. With our boys giving away very few extras and bowling aggressively and straight, Ryde struggled to get on top. For a bunch of old geezers, the fielding was pretty good too! Rob Knight bowled particulary well with 2-12 in his 3 overs.

In reply with the bat, there was no need to go mad, which was just as well as runs were never easy to score. However, Ryde bowled more extras than we had done and, despite the loss of two early wickets the innings was excellently managed by Stu Robbins (27no) and Andy Dike (20no), with Knighters coming in to see the side home.

Next up we travel to Taunton on March 1st to take on Neyland CC from Wales. Surely this team of old timers (and Knighters) can't keep winning??
