Match report On an evening where the conditions/pitch suited the bowlers it was the batsmen who controlled the game. William won the toss and put Shaftesbury in. The game ebbed nicely with everyone getting the chance to bowl 2 overs. Billy Daniels (1-12) took his first U13 wicket but Sam (2-6) and Matt Williams (2-4) were the pick of the bowlers, using the conditions to produce some devastating swing!
Our reply, as always when Luke is playing, got off to an electric start. Luke hit 34 from 16 balls to put us well ahead of the required rate. This let Joe (18) and William (20) to steadily chip away at the total, although they were both out, leaving James (3 n.o) and Sam (8 n.o) to get us over the line with 18 balls to spare.
Congratulations to everyone who has played in what has turned out to be a very successful season.
