Match report Another lovely evening gave us another chance to play a 20 over game, which led to what can only be described as the game of the season so far!
Fielding first we got of to an excellent start, conceding only 4 runs from the first 4 overs, bowled brilliantly by Marcus (1-15) and Matt C (0-2)! Then James (1-15) got their opener out which brought the big hitter in. The second wicket stand of 60 saw 2 batsmen retire, but then the runs were kept to a minimum again with William (2-6) taking 2 wickets late on. The best bowling and fielding display, by far, led to Kilmington finishing on 99-4.
In reply, we got off to a shaky start losing Matt W and James before we had made double figures but William (31n.o) and Sam (14) put on 62 runs until William retired and Sam was spectacularly caught! The scoring slowed and with help from extras we needed just 1 run from the final over with 2 wickets in hand! Parky was bowled with the first ball which brought Matty Plummer (1n.o) to crease to score the all important winning run with 2 balls to spare.
