Match report Poole grafted on a very difficult wicket to reach 184 from their allotted 50 overs.
Simon Sweatman and Howard Batten bowled the perfect pace to extract maximum help from the pitch, which helped restrict Poole. Dave Miller was the usual fly in the ointment!
In reply we got off to a poor start, Knighters on debut as captain, got a good ball and Recco, was just Recco!!
Stu Sweatman and Ollie Calcott set about rescuing the situation along with the middle order.
All the middle order batsmen got going but nobody was able to go on to make the telling score.
The Chairman asked it to be pointed out that he was run out by the next most senior player in the team....old legs are not the quickest!!
We performed well on a very difficult wicket, but just kept loosing wickets at crucial times as we were building partnerships.
