Stalbridge Cricket Club Development XI v Wimborne & Colehill 3rd XI on Sat 29 Aug 2015 at 1:30
Stalbridge Cricket Club Won 107 runs

Match report We did it! We have won Dorset Division 3. This was a must win game vs Wimborne and after being stuck in John Atkins (43)and Charlie H (45)got us off to a flyer but both fell with the score on 90. Netters (40) and H snr (33) kept things ticking on nicely and with good contributions from Kev, Joe Jon F and Henners we managed to rack up 240-8. Tight bowling from Jasp (2-28) and Netters kept Wimborne quiet before Leggy got to work taking 3-35. Wimborne then dug in and we needed 2 wickets from the final over to secure the full 20 points, Joe Atkins stepped up to the plate with help from a great catch by Lewis and with one ball left he floated a beaut of a leggie up to the no.11 who was coaxed from his crease and Jon whipped off the bails to secure the win and the league title. This is a fantastic effort from all involved, a team made up of a few senior pros but the majority all 15 and under. Well done boys!!
