Match report A much needed win for the Bridge 2's today at Witchampton. Batting first the boys battled to 149 ao on a green one, Sam Hayward top scoring with a high class 67. He was supported well by a patient Joe Atkins (15) who dug deep to add 67 with Sam after some early wickets. There was also what turned out to be a vital last wicket stand of 20 between Howard Batten (14) and 13 year old debutant Joe Gartell (6). Henry Chant struck early with the new nut and bowled two great spells taking 2-18 from 9 overs. Fordy picked up 2-29, Leggy 1-33 and Matt Chant 4-23 and with a brilliant direct hit run out by Jasper Hodgson Witchampton were dismissed for 129. A superb effort in the field by everyone.
