Match report Stalbridge CC 1st XI beat Martinstown 1st XI by 59 runs. Stalbridge won the toss and elected to bat. Junior Sweaty and Jimmer continued their excellent opening partnership with a stand of 103, Stu making 57 and Jimmer 40. Forsh, promoted to number 6 hit a well made 40 off 28 balls which included 3 maximums, the scorecard was also boosted with 35 wides. Forsh struck early in the Martinstown reply with a bumper which was superbly caught by Smiley on the leg side. The Martinstown number 3 batsman played well for 88 but he was also caught by Smiley off Forsh's first ball of his return spell. Steve ended up with superb figures of 7.4-1-21-5 to go with his 40, other contributions in the bowling come from leggy with 7-1-47-3 and Dikey with 10-0-53-2. 20 points and a 4th win of the season takes the 1s nicely into next weeks home game V Poole Town CC 1st XI.
