Stalbridge Cricket Club Lost By 3 runs

Match report A very good first match for the Lions. There were a number of good performances notably some great fielding from Josh (2 run outs) and solid bowling from the bowling unit as Mere amassed 284-5. The Stalbridge batting started strongly with Josh and Tom putting on 27 for first pair but we then lost regular wickets in the middle although there was some great running between the wickets form Nathan/Tom & Daniel Ralph. The last pair Harry/Zak needed 44 for victory and gave it a really good go managing 41 with 5 x 4 between them but ended 3 runs short. A great start to 2017 season. Well played everyone and look forward to seeing you friday evening at training.
