Match report An excellent performance by the Gladiators, for several of whom it was their first 'hard-ball' match. We bowled first and really set the platform for victory with a fine display, keeping wides and runs conceded to a minimum.

Skipper Millie lead the way with 3 for 9 and there was also 3 wickets for Bertie including two caught & bowled. Theo, Harley and Alfie also took wickets, Logan and Ruby bowled very well without reward, giving away only 2 runs off the bat, while Ruby and Harley made run-outs as Mere finished on 222-10, a net score of just 22. Natty also deserves a mention for a very good display of wicket-keeping in his first ever go at the role!

Theo and Natty then gave us a good start to our innings, both putting runs on the board and posting a partnership of 26 without loss. Millie and Ruby then took over, playing some excellent shots and running well, before Logan & Bertie built our total to 257-3 after 12 overs; Logan hit the shot of our innings, a lovely 4 through mid-wicket. Alfie and Harley then came in to wrap up the match, seeing us to a final total of 261-4.
