Match report Stalbridge won the toss & elected to bowl. Rain at around 12:30 delayed the 1pm until 1:30pm so the game was reduced to 45 overs per side. The Poole opening pair put on 17 before Stu (3-25) picked up 3 wickets in one over which included 2 in 2 balls. Lewis & Baj steadied the innings for Poole putting on 61 for the 4th wicket before Si (1-17) had Baj LBW. Leggy (3-23) picked up the wicket of Dave Miller off a low full toss caught at square leg by H who also chipped in with (2-23) and at 36 overs Poole were 103-6. Some later order hitting took Poole to 152 all out off their 45 over, Dikey (1-24) picking up the final wicket off the last ball of the innings to secure a 5th bowling point. The Stalbridge innings got off to a bad start with Stu & Jimmer both falling early, wickets fell at regular intervals and Stalbridge failed to build any substantial partnerships to threaten the target. Jon (16) top scored in the innings and Stalbridge were all out for 65. Well done to Toby on his first team debut who fielded fantastically chucking himself about with some decent stops and also taking a catch. Next week the 1s are at home to Sherborne, 1pm start time.
