Cranborne v Stalbridge Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 23 Jun 2018 at 1.30pm
Stalbridge Cricket Club Lost By 4 Wickets

Match report What a day for the 2’s. We came so close on a hot summers afternoon. Skipper won the toss and elected to bat.

Once again the top order set about putting runs on the board. Ford, Float and Goose kicking things off. Mr Forshaw batting 4 with a top score of 41. Everyone contributed something and the boys ended strong on 195 all out. Well done to Toby for putting the chirpy chap back over his head on atleast 2 occasions.

SCC then had a go with the ball. Cranborne batsmen described Waggy as unplayable (the usual swing scenes) whilst Fordy took a stunning couple of wickets at the other end. The bridge had them 60-3 at one point and looked like a win was on the cards. Wiz pinned them back for period. Unfortunately 4 or 5 catches were put down which cost us dearly.

That’s the third game in a row that the bridge have put big scores on the board. Once again the boys fought until the end. Great to see such positive chat on the whatsaap group despite the tough season. It’s coming lads...

Charlton down next week. Biggest game of the season
