Match report In many ways, this game was the story of our season. Having won the toss, we elected to bat but lost Jimmer in the third over, caught in the slips. A series of low scores followed, but Seb was batting superbly despite the lack of support, dispatching two free hits for 6 and 4, and making it all look pretty easy. There were a few lower order contributions from Steve (12), Si (13) and Alex (14), with 34 extras. Seb was the ninth wicket to fall as he tried to push the score on when running out of partners, eventually falling for a brilliant 70, Stalbridge finishing on 148 all out.

We bowled and fielded superbly, with very few bad balls bowled, and full commitment from everyone in the field. Wimborne found it tough going and took until the 46th over to reach their target. Another 40-50 runs would've made it interesting but credit to everyone for never giving up. Wickets were spread around with one each for Si, Fordy and Jimmer, and two for Alex Moore, who bowled really well despite his lack of games this season.
