Match report Another tough one for the 2's today, but so many positives to take from the performance. All season runs have been needed and today the team put together some excellent partnerships which could become much more as the season goes on. After being put in by Corfe Mullen it looked like it could have been another double-digit score for the team at 29/3, before a 22-run partnership between Doug Mckinnon (17 - including a huge six onto the road) and Rob Payne (11) dragged the team towards a score. The lower order then chipped in, as Ben Pattle (22) and Cam Mckinnon (7) battled away for 11 overs in a stand of 28-runs to drag the team past the hundred for the first time this season.
Unfortunately, Corfe Mullen made a lightening start to the chase, taking only 11-overs to reach the target. Ed Pattle (1-2) made sure that Stalbridge did get a wicket though.
Nonetheless, attitudes were positives and standards in the field were high. Lots of positive points today against a team that are currently top of the league with maximum points!
