Match report Against the top of the league Stalbridge bowled first with a sharp looking attack and an iffy-pitch. Things got off to a very good start with tight spells from the Captain (8-1-1-37) and A Moore (8-1-0-40) keeping the opposition to 30/1 when the early drinks came. at the 13th over. This is when a good start turned into a great start with C Mckinnon (8-0-4-58) tearing through the opposition top order, taking four wickets in a five over spell. He was ably-assisted by some great catches from his brother, D Mckinnon behind the stumps, landing four in the game and coming so close to a fifth. With the game seemingly in Stalbridge's favour as the one of the many stoppages to cover a car windscreen occurred and Dorset Tigers were floundering at 100/6, a very very tight LBW call went against us and the surviving batsman went on to flay the bowlers to all parts, making 119* in the process. E Pattle(4-0-1-41) was able to nip a late one out and give Stalbridge something to celebrate in a long second half of the innings.
With the bat sadly it was the same story as usual. Although both Matt Dunne (4) and Archie Gilbert (9) applied themselves very well on debut, with Matt batting for over ten-overs and Archie playing some good looking strokes.
