Match report A great start to the season from the Dev XI, who faced a very long away trip first up.
After electing to bowl, the team got stuck in with an early wicket, before Cat&Sym looked to be rebuilding. Great middle over spells from Sam Foster, Dom Coleman and Oscar White, as well as a tidy but wicketless spell from Ed Pattle helped to peg back restrict Cat&Sym who were only on 65/5 at drinks. A late flurry of wickets saw a manageable 95 set.
Early drama dominated the Stalbidge batting display, with the openers falling, before a big partnership of 57 between Rob Payne (24) and Luke Hedditch (53*) looked to be getting the side home. After Rob fell to one that kept low, a flurry of wickets ensued, including three ducks, before Luke was able to see the team home.
A bit closer than it should have been in the end, but a win is a win - we march on!
