Match report Another victory in sweltering heat.
Winning the toss we chose to bat and got off to a great start with a 48 run opening stand. Then Joe Atkins was bowled for 25, but this left George Coleman to bat superbly, even with wickets falling regularly. George was eventually stumped for 70 in the 29th over with the score on 148. This brought dad, Matt, to the crease, who with good support from Will Trevis (18) pushed the score 219-6 from 40 overs with the old man finishing up with 56 n.o.
In reply Blandford were always in trouble and with only one batsman making double figures the result never looked in doubt. Blandford finished on 65 a.o, this was down to a fantastic display of bowling from first, Chris Meikle (8-4-14-3) and Tom Judd (8-1-25-3), backed up by the two spinners, Joe Atkins (8-2-15-2) and Jamie A-D (7-5-5-2).
Another great display, well done lads, nearly there.
