Match report A nailbiter! The Lions unbeaten run came to an end at Shroton in the closest game possible.

Batting first the boys put up 284-4, with some decent contributions all round, but especially the 21 runs from Ed Pattle and 16 from Nelson Burles. However, on a very small boundary there was always the fear that a bigger total would be needed.

In reply Shroton started very well but were soon slowed up by some good bowling - Archie and Oscar W bowled very well in particular. In the end Shroton needed 12 to win off the last over and here the small boundary was a help as they scraped home by 1 run to win and send the Lions to their first defeat of the season.

This leaves the Lions with one game left; a title decider at home on Friday against Blandford, who we lead by just 1 point in the table. So on Friday night winner takes all!! COME ON THE SCC LIONS!!!
