Match report Stalbridge won the toss and elected to field. Forsh (10-2-37-1) struck in the 9th over with the opening Broadstone pair putting on 32. The 4th wicket partnership for Broadstone put on 91 in 16 overs before Leggy (10-4-25-2) got the breakthrough by bowling their number 5 batsman who made 56. The Broadstone opener went on to make an unbeaten 104 as they posted 258 in their 50 overs. Other contributions in the bowling come from H (10-0-58-2), Lewis (6-1-32-1) and the returning Senior Sweatman after injury with (9-2-55-1). Jimmer (37) and Junior Sweaty (19) put on 41 the opening stand, Lewis & Eddie both went for low scores and the innings was recovered by a stand of 76 between Seb (41) and George (41). Steve hit a rapid 48no from 41 balls which included seven 4s and one 6 to get Stalbridge beyond 220 and pick up maximum batting points. A great batting effort and Stalbridge remained in the game for a long period of time but the chase was just a few too many. 8 points picked up in a loss and plenty of positives to take forward to next week.
