Match report Shroton won the toss and elected to bat. Shorton strated well and were 32-0 after 5 overs, Steve (2-30) got the breakthrough with the final ball of the 6th over with a good catch by Stu who was well posistioned at deep cover. Steve struck again in the 10th removing their number 3 bastman for 2 caught behind by Colin. Shroton continued to accumulate runs until Stalbridge struck again in the 20th with H (2-24) having their number 4 caught and bowled for 17. Drinks were at 25 with Shroton well placed at 103-3. H had their opening batsman who made 54 caught by Jimmer at 1st slip in the first over after drinks. Dikey (1-39) come into the attack in the 34th and had their 6 batsman out LBW in his second over offering no shot, he and Si, taking 2 wickets with the final 2 balls of his spell (2-33) bowled well in partnership during the 2nd half of the innings and Shorton ended up on 206-8. Stalbridge set about their chase well looking to set a platform as Stu (21) and Jimmer (15) put on 35 for the opening stand. Seb in his first game of the season batted well at 3 making 47, he and George (22) put on 58 for with the scorecard going from 56-2 to 114-3 with George out LBW. Wickets fell in the middle order at regualr intervals and Seb was run out with a questionable decision in the 42nd with 65 still needed. Dikey (9*) and Leggy (9) batted sensibily to guide Stalbridge past a 3rd batting point but were all out for 165. Stalbridge take 7 points in defeat & next week travel to Wimborne & Colehill, 1pm start time.
