Match report
Sherborne won the toss and elected to bat. The Sherborne opening pair put on 15 before Forsh (4-28) clean bowled one of their opening batsman who made a score of 4 after being droped first ball of the game. Stu (2-29) bowled well and after having 3 dropped catches off his bolwing during his opening 3 overs got his first of the afternoon in his 4th with their number 3 batsman caught by H running round at cover. Wickets fell at regualr intervals with Forsh taking out 4 of the top 5 and when Stu clean bowled their number 6 batsman after 15 overs Sherborne were 44-6. Dikey (1-34) come on in the 17th and struck in his first over clean bowling their number 7. Leggy (3-13) come on down the hill after Stu's 10 and picked up his first of the afternoon in his 3rd over with a sharp catch behind by Jonny off a thick outside edge, the scorecard at this stage was 85-8. Leggy picked up the final 2 wickets with their number 10 caught by Josh and the final wicket falling to a good grab by Jimmer at 1st slip, Sherborne were all out for 111. Stalbridge lost Jimmer (1) early on and Stu (12) was clean bowled, the score at this stage was 23-2. George (4) was bowled shortly after and Stalbridge were 25-3. Tea was taken after an hour of the Stalbride chase and the 2 not out batsman were Josh & Bushy. Soon after the tea interval Bushy (9) was run out with a direct hit when coming back for a second and Stalbridge were 48-4. Josh and Si batted Stalbridge to victory with a stand of 64, Josh batting superbly rotating the strike and hitting five 4s finishing on 57*, the winning shot coming with a clean strike back over the bowlers head. He was accompanied by Si who made 15* in a patient knock needed for the match situation. Stalbridge take 19 points for the victory and their 3rd win of the season, next week the 1s are away at Broadstone, 1pm start time.
