Match report Stalbridge won the toss and elected to bat. Stu & Jimmer put on 34 for the opening partnership before Stu was caught and bowled in the 12th over for 12. George (13) put on 23 with Jimmer before he nicked behind in the 19th. Jordan hit three 4s in his 12 from 12 balls before he was bowled in the 25th and at this stage Stalbridge were 79-3. Jimmer went on to pass fifty after securing his first ton last week and looked like he was on to hit consecutive 100s before he was caught for 66, his knock lasting 118 balls and including eleven 4s and one 6. Stalbridge lost regular wickets (not helped by two run outs), Forsh hit 14* to take the total to 144. Stalbridge struck in the 4th over of the Bere Regis reply and Forsh (3-18) took out 3 of the top 4 to have them 19-3 after 8. Si (4-29) took wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs along with Andy (1-25) picking up a sharp caught and bowled chance and after 29 overs the chase was at 94-8. The Bere Regis number 9 hit a quick fire 57 off 34 balls to take the game away from Stalbridge and despite him falling to Leggy (1-24) their 10 and 11 batsman saw them over the line for the win. Stalbridge fought well in the field after being bowled all out for a modest score in 44.2 overs and picked up some good points. Next week the 1s are at home to Martinstown, 1pm start time.
