Match report A really close game to start the season off and a good win. Stalbridge Pirates batted well but lost a few too many wickets in their 16 overs to finish at 254 for 5. Oscar Moore and Dominic Coleman batted well to put on 35 runs without losing a wicket in their 4 overs.
Mere got off to a good start in the run chase but some tight bowling and fielding saw them end with 253/5 despite a four off the last ball. The fielding was tight with some great throwing in and only 1 overthrow....a huge step up from last year.
