Match report Stalbridge decided to field first. The Bere Regis opening pair put on 26 before Stu (10-4-26-2) picked up the first wicket with a catch behind. The 2nd wicket put on 42 before H (6-0-15-1) had the other opening batsman caught behind by a great catch up to the stumps from Jon for his second dismissal of the day. Wiz bowled really well picking up his first 1st XI wicket having their number 3 batsman clean bowled and finishing with excellent figures of 10-1-42-1. Si opening the bowling in place of Steve who was unable to bowl through injury took the wickets of the number 5 & 6 batsman, 1 with an excellent 1 handed catch from Stu and the other clean bowled, Si finishing with 10-0-54-2. The wides cost Stalbridge dearly totalling 52.

Stalbridge got off to a steady start in reply reaching 35 in the 8th over before Stu was caught at mid off for 24. The second wicket fell with the score on 98, Jimmer adjudged LBW for 26, he and Seb (47) put on 63 for their partnership. At 98-2 after 19 over Stalbridge were just about in control however a collapse from 98-2 to 109-7 within 5 overs meant there was too much to do for the lower order. Colin ended on 36 not out adding 29 with Jon (12) and 34 with H (14) for the last wicket but Stalbridge were all out for 187 in the 42nd over.

6 points taken in defeat and next week the 1s are home to Christchurch, 1pm start time.
