Match report The match was delayed for a 2.30pm start, 38 overs per side, Stalbridige won the toss and elected to bowl. The Wimborne opening pair put on 50 for the opening wicket before Andy (8-0-28-1) got the breakthrough with a good catch taken by Steve at mid-off. The next wicket fell with the score on 95, with Howard (7-0-40-1) having the other opener adjudged LBW. Wimborne scored well during their innings with the 3rd wicket partnership putting on 82 before Wiz (5-0-50-1) picked up the 3rd wicket of the innings. Fordy (2-0-9-2) picked up a couple wickets towards the end bowling well at the death and Si (8-0-41-1) chipped in with a wicket so 3 fielding points were taken, Wimborne finishing on 198-6. The opening pair for Stalbridge made a good start putting on 45 before Jimmer (10) was caught at point, Fordy fell for 8 with the score on 62 and Stu was out for 37 first ball after drinks, the score at this point 64-3. Doug on his 1st team debut made 6 and George fell shortly after for 24 to leave Stalbridge at 97-5. Wickets fell with Stalbridge looking to increase the run rate, Jonny (10) and Will 9* guided the total past 130 for a second batting point. The innings ended with Stalbridge 148-9. Next week the 1s are home to Sherborne (1pm start) whilst the 2s travel the other way and take on Sherborne 2nds, 1.30pm start time.
