Match report Broadstone won the toss and elected to bat. The opening pair for Broadstone added 114 before Andy (10-0-1-28) struck in the 23rd over. The Broadstone number 3 made 84 before he was caught and bowled by Stu (10-2-54-1) in the 45th over, with the second wicket partnership adding 152. H (8-1-45-1) picked up a late wicket and there was a run out completed by Jonny, the Broadstone opener batted through 50 overs to make 140*. Some dropped catches and a few fielding extras set an imposing total of 309-4. In reply Stalbridge lost Stu in the 3rd over bowled for 6 and Colin in the 7th over for 4. H, filling in at number for 3 made 24 off 37 with four 4s and George scored 43 in a partnership worth 46, George scoring nine 4s in his 59 ball innings. Jimmer batting at 5 top scored in the Stalbridge innings making 85 off 88 with sixteen 4s and adding 53 in a partnership with George. Bradders went for a duck, Andy scored 13 and there were some late efforts down the order from Nick who made 19 off 13 with two 4s & 1 maximum and Wiz who made 22 off 16 with four 4s. Alex was bowled in the 46th over with Jon 0* at the non strikers end. A decent effort in the chase, Stalbridge were all out for 238 picking up maximum batting points for passing 220 and taking 7 points overall. Next week the 1s are home to Bere Regis, 1pm start time.
