Match report Both Si (injured finger) & Stu (3rd wedding anniversary - congratulations!) were unavailable for this opening fixture of the 'Thank-you NHS' 2020 league.

Stalbridge won the toss and decided to field.

Forsh (6-2-13-0) bowled a good opening spell passing the outside edge on several occasions & was well backed up at the other end by Fordy (8-0-27-1) who got the breakthrough in the 12th over, an excellent catch taken by Andy running back at mid on with the score on 34. Andy come on first change after Steve's opening spell and took regular wickets in his spell of 8-3-22-4. The 6th wicket partnership for Cerne added 20 and the 8th wicket put on 24 but Stalbridge took regular wickets and Bradders (who scored his maiden 100 at this ground last week - well done Bradders!!) took the last wicket with the score on 132.

In reply Joshy (15) and Bushy (7) added 35 for the first wicket, George (2) fell shortly after with the score on 38. Jimmer top scored with an excellent 45 which included seven 4s & put on 50 with Andy who finished on 24* that included three 4s and two 6s. Steve saw the chase home hitting the winning runs through the extra cover region and ending on 10* off 8 balls.

Next week the 1s play away at Shillingstone, 1:30pm start time.
